Electric cars are our future.  They are free of petrol/diesel and run solely on battery powered electric motors for zero emission driving/  The car batteries are charged via a mains supply and through regenerative braking.  

What are the advantages of having an electric car?

• Most electric motors can travel around 150 km before charging;
• No tail pipe exhaust means no CO2, NOx and PM10s;
• The engine is silent and creates less noise pollution;
• Cars can be recharged whenever convenient - day or night;
  
• Has long-lasting battery use;
• No oil consumption means less reliance on fuel;
• Cheaper to maintain because they have fewer moving parts.
